Centre for Church based Development, National Council of Churches in Denmark, Danish Bible Society and Interchurch Denmark are, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, hosting a conference on just peace, trauma healing, and the path to reconciliation in Ukraine.
The conference will take place on May 26 from 12:00 to 17:00.
We will be visited by ten prominent Ukrainian church leaders and aid workers. These are people who stand on the frontlines of hope and psychosocial relief every day in a war-torn Ukraine. As part of a longer visit to Denmark, they are participating in the When Time Comes conference, which focuses on the church’s crucial role as provider of humanitarian aid, trauma care, and a decisive voice on the road to reconciliation.
During the conference, the Ukrainian guests will share their personal experiences and testimonies from the brutal reality of war. The conference creates space for reflection and conversation about what just peace means for Ukraine, how deep war trauma can be processed, and what the road toward reconciliation looks like through the eyes of the Ukrainian churches.
