  • Land Cambodia

The overall objective is to improve the education for children of Cambodia‘s most vulnerable families, and thereby provide the children with better prospects in life. The objective is reached through educating their teachers in improved teaching methods which are based on modern teaching methodology. The project consists of two parts: 1) Through a 360-hour (referred to as “12-week") training for teachers from the NGO Flame, as well as teachers from other NGOs, which enables them to teach using modern teaching methods, as well as a supplementary 30-hour course in teaching within their primary subject. 2) To create contextualized dual-language teaching materials (in Khmer and English) which will enable the reader to, on their own, without further training, increase their teaching competence to teach using modern teaching methodology. And furthermore, train two training facilitators (ToT) who can facilitate the use of the material in the future for more in-depth teaching courses.
