Project YES - Youth Engagement and sustainability

The project engages youth in practical learning about developing innovative solutions for a more sustainable world. The participants are primary school students and teachers from Fredensborg Municipality, together with their fellow students and teachers in Ghana. The main activities are direct exchange and engagement with young students and entrepreneurs in Ghana, an Innovation Day at Fredensborg Skole, workshops on the SDGs and active citizenship, and visits to local companies in Fredensborg working sustainably.

As a results of this project, students from Fredensborg Municipality and teachers will gain important insights and knowledge on sustainable innovation from the world around them. The participants have gained development experience through their exchange with their peers from Ghana, but also through experiencing sustainable solutions from NGOs and local businesses, specifically focused on sustainable energy, consumption and production.
