In close dialogue with our partners in Tanzania, CKU has decided to postpone the planned Partnership Conference originally scheduled for 11–12 November. The decision is based on the current unrest in the country following the presidential election on 29 October.
Since the election, Tanzania has experienced significant turmoil, including the closure of international airports and a nationwide internet shutdown. Reports indicate ongoing demonstrations and an unknown number of casualties.
Our partners in Tanzania report that internet access has been partially restored, but the situation remains uncertain. The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs currently advises against all non-essential travel to Tanzania.
In light of these developments, CKU has chosen to postpone the conference. All participants have been informed, and we expect the conference to be held in February 2026.
