The SHE LEADS aims to support the reintegration and empowerment of human trafficking survivors in Nigeria through vocational education. Survivors will receive training with government-recognized certification and help to achieve financial independence. The survivors will be role models in the local society, raise awareness about human trafficking and lift their voices for human rights.
The project will be implemented by Greater Love Lighthouse in partnership with Daughters of Abraham Foundation (DOAF) , which runs Nigeria’s first safehouse for survivors. The initiative involves collaboration with local teachers, religious and community leaders, families, government agencies, and NGOs to reduce stigma and foster acceptance.
The vocational training will be delivered in two phases across 10 safehouses for 70 survivors of human trafficking.
