The overall aim of this project is to accelerate abandonment of female genital mutilation (FGM) among young girls and women. This will be achieved through a unified front of government accountability, community oversight, and faith-based leadership, ensuring that:
• Duty bearers and political leaders at the county and sub-county levels effectively implement, track, and sustain FGM abandonment, through sustained budgetary allocations and enforced accountability frameworks.
• Rights holders and community-led networks (youth groups, local committees) independently monitor and influence FGM policy implementation.
• FPFK and local leadership networks (government administrators, community elders) actively champion Alternative Rites of Passage (ARP) and advocate for total FGM abandonment in the targeted area.The
