A feasibility study will assess the development of a proposed transnational initiative led by DAK University and Friends of Bethlehem titled “The ‘Remnant’ and the ‘Diasporic’: Rethinking Christian Presence and Pluralism in the Middle East.” The project aims to strengthen networks of young theologians, scholars, artists, and cultural practitioners from Middle Eastern Christian communities and their diasporas, fostering sustained intellectual, cultural, and civic collaboration on Christian presence, pluralism, citizenship, and inter- and intra-faith engagement. The study will evaluate the initiative’s readiness for a funding application to the CKU-managed Freedom of Religion or Belief (ToRF) window and identify areas requiring further development, including alignment with Article 18 human rights principles, a clearer theory of change, stronger advocacy and public discourse strategies, and the establishment of a sustainable post-project network with defined governance and roles.
