Towards improved Freedom of Religion or Belief in a more inclusive Society of Humla

The overall objective of the project is to empower marginalized and discriminated members of Humla's society to
exercise their Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB) rights, facilitating their participation in social, cultural, and
religious life by raising social awareness and understanding on the importance of all human rights. The main target
groups of the project include marginalized individuals, including Dalits, persons with disabilities (PWDs), women,
religious minorities and indigenous/janajati people, social leaders, teachers, CSO members, religious
groups/leaders, and government representatives. Project activities include increasing capacity, awareness and
advocacy on FoRB and related human rights, as well as working on vocational skills and economic empowerment
of the marginalised target group. The overall expected changes of the project are a more inclusive society with
decreased discrimination and prejudice against individuals or communities based on their religion or belief;
Increased awareness and understanding of the importance of FoRB and strengthened collaboration to promote it,
and empowered marginalised groups able to freely express their beliefs and to participate on equal terms with the
majority of the society in Humla through support in their social and economic involvement and the expression of
their FoRB related rights.
