Drought and unpredictable rainfall pose one of the biggest threats to the resilience of livelihoods that depend on small-scale farming and pasture in climate vulnerable contexts. Water management and harvesting rainwater is therefore essential for building resilient communities in the global south.

On 1 September, The Faith4Restoration network therefore invites you to an online seminar on Integrated Water management from 9-12 am CET

Professor Hans Komakech is a professor in Water Management at Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology in Arusha Tanzania and has extensive experience with water harvesting projects in Africa. Prof. Hans Komakech will be the key speaker on the day’s seminar, and will cover topics such as interlinkage between water availability, land use and livelihoods. Timing of rainfall and planning. Rainwater harvesting methods including plot level techniques and stakeholder engagement with local authorities on advocacy and ownership.
