Launch of Faith4Restoration

25mar09:0011:00Launch of Faith4Restoration

Detaljer

In 2025 CKU has started a collaboration with the Worldwide Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Beliefs and Values Programme on the project Faith4Restoration in Tanzania. The project engages faith actors and faith as a key entry point in restoration initiatives of pasture zones for pastoral Masais. The outcome of the project is to restore livelihoods of the involved Masais through conservation and restoration of soil erosion, gullies, degraded lands and overgrazing. Faith actors play a crucial role in mobilizing community members and advocating for more sustainable policy frameworks.

WWF’s Beliefs and Values progamme recognizes that all of society must be engaged if we are to stop the destruction of nature and restore balance to the Earth. WWF’s BVP recognizes that religious groups are the largest part of civil society: 85% of the world population is affiliated with a religion or spiritual tradition. Despite this, faith actors continue to be underrepresented as stakeholders in the work with climate adaptation, conservation and restoration.

Join the launch of Faith4Restoration and learn more about the project and the work with faith and restoration. The launch will also be the start of a learning community, that will be a platform for learning, knowledge exchange and sharing of events. Read more about the learning community in the attached Terms of Reference and Follow the Faith4Restoration network by joining Faith4Restoration What’s app group: Invitation til WhatsApp-gruppe

The Launch will take place on the 25th of March from 9-11 CET.
