Unmarried Young Mother´s Empowering in Rukwa Region, Tanzania, Phase II

In this project, the second phase of the project Unmarried Young Mothers in Rukwa Region of Tanzania (UYME II), we will help 150 poor mothers between 14 and 28 years and their 300 children. We will do this by giving the mothers life skills, and vocational training, and a group to belong to. We learned from the first UYME project that this intervention will help the mothers to a more healthy and safe upbringing of their children. Most of the mothers in the project were able to earn small money.
In this new project phase, it will be important to bring food, more support, and a higher level of financial skills to keep and help the most vulnerable mothers in the project.
Another strong and important part of UYME II is to keep up and raise the level of knowledge for the people in The Rhukwa Network (RRVCVN). The work of these 50 people is to help the most vulnerable children and women in the region. Being a part of the network motivates and empowers these important people from the area.
