Scaling Partnerships, Advocacy and Indigenous Knowledge for Sustainable Resilience in Tharaka Nithi
- Projektnummer CKU-2025-A-12
- Bevillingshaver International Aid Services Denmark
- Land Kenya
This intervention aims to strengthen community resilience to climate change in Tharaka Nithi County through inclusive, locally led solutions. The project focuses on three key outcomes: (1) empowering rights holders — particularly marginalized groups and faith-based actors — to advocate for accountable, climate-resilient governance; (2) establishing community-led networks and agents, including church-based environmental stewards, to promote environmental conservation and
intergenerational knowledge sharing; and (3) enhancing household resilience through diversified livelihoods, climate-smart agriculture, and community-managed safety net systems. Religious actors play a central role in advocacy, civic education, and mobilizing community action, ensuring sustained impact beyond the project’s lifespan.
