This project is designed to increase the access to agricultural markets and savings and credit among the marginal groups through entrepreneurial endeavors achieving economic empowerment has been implemented targeting rural areas of the Makawanpur district, specifically the Chepang community. The project will improve food security and income as it strengthens agricultural value chains and enables financial inclusion.
The Chepang, an indigenous group from Nepal have been left behind from mainstream development for a long time. They are dependent on subsistence farming and have no access to formal financial services, hence perpetuating cycles of poverty. This initiative strives to solve these challenges by encouraging sustainable farming methods, developing dependable market connections, and providing financial resources through savings and credit programs
