Strengthening the Farmers' Network - Siha, Kilimanjaro. MTAVIRIWA - a network voicing for farmers

The project will strengthen the farmers' network MTAVIRIWA in terms of structure, functioning as a farmers' organisation and key competences, i.e. climate resilient farming and adaptation. This includes agroforestry, agroecology, water management, sustainable land use in hilly and mountaineous ares. Of more organisational skills market relations are key, as well as advocacy skills for small scale farmers' rights, and their importance for local landscapes . Building on a CISU-funded intervention which ended up in forming and registering MTAVIRIWA network for 34 farmer groups. this intervention will develop MTAVIRIWA into a more professional, manageable and dedicated farmers' network and reach out to youth through collaboratition wih schools on climate resilient farming.
