FAYAWODO and PULS will build capacity for field officers and empower activists all who fight FGM

This project is developed by PULS and FAYAWODO. We aim at empowering field officers in the fight against FGM. Together we will produce an educational film. The film will serve as a practical tool for training, dialogue, and awareness-raising. Field officers currently rely on a single anatomical model and quoted testimonies to facilitate discussions, which can limit outreach and engagement. The film will present visual demonstrations and real statements from key community figures—such as police officers, priests, and healthcare workers—making it easier to conduct impactful sessions in rural areas.
Divided into clear modules, the film will support consistent messaging and provide a reusable, standardized teaching resource. The project strengthens both individual capacities and organizational strategies, giving field officers a dynamic tool to engage communities, challenge harmful traditions, and ensure the advocacy against FGM continues beyond the project’s lifespan.
