  • Bevillingshaver Frederiksberg Integrations Forening
  • Land Sri Lanka

Implemented by NCEASL, the project aims to strengthen youth leadership and local structures in advancing FoRB in Ampara, Kilinochchi, Mannar and Mullaitivu—four hotspot districts for religious tensions in Sri Lanka. The project will focus on FoRB literacy building, documentation of violations, and advocacy with sub-national state actors. Sixteen youth peer educators (ages 18-29) from target districts will be equipped to raise awareness on FoRB among 960 community members in the target areas, primarily youth, with support from four local CBOs. These CBOs will also be equipped to document FoRB violations and engage in joint advocacy efforts with peer educators to improve FoRB literacy among sub-national state actors. The project aims to: (1) Increase FoRB awareness among youth; (2) Enhance CBO capacity to document and advocate on FoRB violations; and (3) Promote FoRB-supportive practices by state actors within the districts.
