The purpose of the regional project is that the people in the Swahili Coast of East Africa are free to express their religion or belief without fear of repercussion. This will be achieved by strengthening the advocacy constituencies and partnerships regionally that will promote knowledge and practical applications of FoRB and cross-learning and exchange of knowledge among the partners. This will happen through online meetings and exchange visits, developing methodologies and common ways and strategies to achieve peaceful co-existence within the Swahili Coast region (Tanzania and Kenya). Through engaging partners, state and non-state actors as well as religious leaders in dialogue as well as using income generating initiatives this project will seek to engage all the targeted beneficiaries (rights holders) to actively participate in decision making and processes regarding project activities, hence ownership will be fostered for peaceful coexistence.
