Virtual Museum on FoRB: Strengthening religious freedom through literacy building in Sri Lanka

  • Projektnummer CKU-2025-TA-10
  • Bevillingshaver Frederiksberg Integrations Forening
  • Land Sri Lanka

Based on NCEASL's award-winning Museum of Religious Freedom (MoRF), the project will aim to foster societal respect for FoRB in Sri Lanka through capacity-building and FoRB literacy activities by specifically targeting young women who face a multiplicity of vulnerabilities for their faith and gender and building local structures to advance FoRB in the Central, Eastern, North Western and North-Central provinces—four hotspot provinces or religious tensions in the country. Key activities include training 200 women and youth as advocates of peace and FoRB, supporting their joint efforts with CBOs in visual-arts based initiatives to engage 800 community members on FoRB, developing e-courses on FoRB for 200 youth, civil society actors, educators and other community leaders and creating video resources based on the MoRF for the general public . A special focus on gender and FoRB will be integrated into the MoRF, addressing gendered dimensions of FoRB issues as well.
