Faith for Freedom: Advancing FoRB through Religious Leadership and Local Initiatives in Myanmar

This project will promote Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) at grassroot level in 7 states and 3 Myanmar regions. It empowers young religious leaders (women) from Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu to lead locally driven FoRB advocacy interventions. Through a conflict-sensitive and security-conscious selection process, 25 leaders from 10 religious organizations receives training on FoRB, peacebuilding, contextual analysis, and advocacy. Participants will be mentored to design and implement localized FoRB projects in their communities, addressing legal barriers, hostilities, and exclusion. This include community education, interfaith dialogue, early warning systems, and engagement with local authorities. The project facilitates collaboration with national and international FoRB networks, strengthening monitoring and advocacy. The project will reach 445 individuals and indirectly engage 2,225 people, contributing to greater FoRB protection and interfaith trust-building across Myanmar.
