Faith in Freedom: Building Peaceful Communities in Dioumanzana

This project aims to build a culture of Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) and peaceful coexistence in the Dioumanzana community in Bamako, Mali. It addresses both visible and structural FoRB violations through a dual strategy: prevention and community cohesion. Activities include Training of Trainers (TOT), advocacy forums, media campaigns, interfaith celebrations, and a FORB walk. The approach is participatory, locally rooted, and builds on lessons from earlier FoRB initiatives. Religious leaders, especially imams and pastors, play a central role, supported by youth and women's groups. The project emphasizes capacity building, inclusive dialogue, and local ownership. The overall goal is to reduce FoRB violations and strengthen social cohesion by equipping communities to uphold human rights and promote interreligious understanding and collaboration.
