This project will contribute to the introduction of an interfaith collaboration platform and vocational skills for young people whereby there will be a reduction in conflict caused by religious intolerance.
The project runs from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2026 and has two strategic approaches:
The first step is to establish an inter-faith collaboration for 30 religious leaders which will foster peace and harmony in 5 communities in Ungwan Romi area in the northwest part of Nigeria also by addressing the duty bearers to fulfil their responsibilities and ensure the rights regarding FoRB. The second step is to improve vocational and entrepreneurial skills and well-being for 3.000 young women and men in the area. Ethno-religious crises in the area have been a major driver of conflict in Kaduna and its communities. The interfaith collaboration which this project intends to facilitate will bring together leaders of both the Christian and Muslim faiths including traditional leaders.
