The intervention focuses on strengthening local capacity for church- and community-based development in the Moravian Church Western Tanzania and selected congregations under this province through the Church and Community Mobilisation Process (CCMP) methodology. The goal is for the churches to increasingly serve as a driving force for local transformation and development, rooted in their own resources and initiatives.
To achieve this goal, a series of workshops and activities: Facilitators will be trained in CCMP, so that they can equip churches and communities in applying the methodology. The training will take place through workshops that include Bible study and cover themes such as mobilisation of local resources, relationship-building and collaboration, and the establishment of self-help groups.
By combining theological reflection with practical skills, the facilitators will be equipped to support churches and local communities in initiating and sustaining the CCMP process.
