Strengthening Interreligious and Multiethnic Reconciliation to Advance Freedom of Religion or Belief

  • Projektnummer CKU-2026-TA-02
  • Bevillingshaver DEN DANSKE ISRAELSMISSION
  • Land Palestine

The project strengthens FoRB by restoring relationships between Palestinian Muslims and Christians and Jewish Israelis through inclusive, rights-based reconciliation rooted in local realities and indigenous customs. Through Musalaha’s pragmatic roadmap of reconciliation, participants become equipped to understand FoRB as a universal human right, addressing violations in their own contexts, and contributing to non-violently co-resisting injustices, including dehumanization of the "other".

Participants engage in interreligious and multiethnic groups in Bethlehem, Lydd, and Ramla, with joint trainings, cross-border learning, Desert Encounters, and field visits to sites with restricted religious access. The process culminates in peacebuilding outreaches and civil society collaboration for larger social change, enabling participants to advance FoRB and advocate for respect for human rights with relevant duty-bearers in Israeli and Palestinian communities.
