Enhanced Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) among Faith Communities in Singida, Tanzania

The overall aim of this intervention is to facilitate faith communities in Singida to enjoy FoRB and to be able to practice their beliefs freely without fear of discrimination or persecution. The project will strengthen FoRB in Singida by equipping leaders, linking communities, and empowering women and youth. Its core idea is simple: when people learn together, meet across faith lines and work together economically, trust grows and discrimination declines. The project also builds sustainable interfaith networks where Muslims, Christians, traditional leaders, women, youth and duty-bearers meet, plan, and act together.
The platforms will reduce tensions and address misconceptions and jointly support initiatives and strengthen peaceful relations. The project will empower women and youth through inclusive VSLAs, where members from different faiths save, invest and learn together. By 2028, Singida will have stronger leadership, active interfaith structures, and empowered women and youth.
