The Eminent Persons Ecumenical Program for Peace in Africa Peace Mission to Tanzania and Ethiopia is a joint initiative between the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) and CKU that seeks to strengthen dialogue and cooperation for peace in Tanzania and Ethiopia. The intervention brings together respected Christian and Muslim faith leaders, civil society actors, and public institutions to promote constructive engagement, social cohesion, and peaceful coexistence. Through consultations, dialogue meetings, relationship-building, and follow-up mechanisms, the project supports locally anchored efforts to address tensions, foster mutual understanding, and strengthen networks that can contribute to conflict prevention and sustainable peace. Particular emphasis is placed on inclusive participation, interfaith collaboration, local ownership, and the continuation of dialogue beyond the project period through national task forces and ongoing cooperation.
