Peace Conference at DanChurchAid

Thursday, October 22nd, 1:00 PM-5:00 PM DanChurchAid, in collaboration with CKU and several other organisations, invites you to a policy-practice dialogue on peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and the constructive engagement of faith actors in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. The event takes its point of departure from Denmark’s new development strategy and focuses on how faith-based actors can contribute to locally rooted peacebuilding efforts and social cohesion. Among the themes explored during the event are:

• what research tells us about the role of faith actors in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and social cohesion.
• practical experiences of working with faith actors in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
• how Denmark’s new development strategy can be translated into practice through locally led and conflict-sensitive approaches.
• recommendations for Danish civil society organisations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other stakeholders on future engagement with faith actors.

The event brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers for presentations, a panel discussion, and joint reflections on how faith actors can be engaged more systematically, inclusively, and conflict-sensitively in peacebuilding and development work.
